How to Use

  1. Estimate orphan circuit and orphan mobile line counts (inventory or carrier portal).
  2. Enter average MRC values from bills or invoices.
  3. Set conservative percentages for disconnectable and optimization rates.
  4. Include one-time costs if you expect early termination or migration work.
  5. Calculate, then copy results to use as an action summary.

What Results Mean

Orphan disconnect savings is the portion of unused services you expect you can actually disconnect.

Plan optimization savings is the reduction from rightsizing plans, moving to pooled plans, or negotiating price.

Break-even is how long it takes for monthly savings to cover one-time costs.

Common Pitfalls

  • Overestimating disconnectable percent before validating ownership and business criticality.
  • Using list rates instead of true billed rates (after taxes, surcharges, and discounts).
  • Ignoring ETFs or migration costs on contracts with long remaining terms.
